(MUST BE TURNING 21 WITHIN 1 YEAR OF THE DATE OF COURSE COMPLETION)
Overview
This 8-hour evolution is designed for the citizen looking to carry with confidence. Led by Eric Stevens (NRA Certified Instructor & Owner of 1791 TAT), this course exceeds the state requirements for CPL certification. We combine high-level classroom doctrine with live-fire range drills to ensure you leave with more than just a certification-you leave with a standard of readiness.
Session Logistics
  • Time: 08:00 - 16:30 (8.5 Hours)
  • Experience Level: No prior experience required.
  • Logistics: Lunch is provided. Please bring snacks, drinks (other than water), and weather-appropriate clothing for the outdoor range
  • Course Fee: $120
 
Required Gear
  • Reliable Handgun (Rentals available upon request prior to class)
  • 100 Rounds of Ammunition
  • Eye & Ear Protection
 
The Enrollment Process

  3. Minimums: A minimum class size of 5 is required to hold the evolution.
 Readiness Level II: Tactical Pistol
(MUST BE 18 Years Old)

 
Overview
Readiness Level II is where theory meets reality. This 6-hour high-tempo evolution is designed to take the foundational skills learned in Level I and pressure-test them. We move beyond the static line to focus on the mechanical skills required to fight with a handgun: speed, efficiency, and subconscious weapon manipulation.
 
Evolutions
  • The Baseline: Developing a repeatable stance and grip to manage recoil.
  • Draw Stroke: Master a consistent, sub-second draw from holster to presentation.
  • Administrative & Tactical Reloads: Keep the weapon in the fight under time standards.
  • Malfunction Clearance: Instant recognition and clearing various malfunctions.
  • Target Transitions: Multiple threat engagement and focal plane management.
 
Session Logistics
  • Time: 08:00 - 14:30 (6.5 Hours)
  • Experience Level: Completion of Readiness Level I or a vetted equivalent.
  • Logistics: Lunch is provided. Please bring snacks, drinks (other than water), and weather-appropriate clothing for the outdoor range
  • Course Fee: $300
  • Location: Tuscola County Conservation Club

The Foundation of Life-Saving Intervention.                    
The Evolution

In a medical emergency, the bridge between the incident and the arrival of First Responders is you. Response I is a comprehensive certification course developed through the American Red Cross.
This evolution is designed to equip the everyday practitioner with the skills to recognize and respond to a variety of first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies. Whether at home, on the range, or in the workplace, Response I ensures you have the competence to stabilize a casualty and preserve life.

Core Skills
  • Cardiac Arrest Response: High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants.
  • AED Integration: Rapid deployment and operation of Automated External Defibrillators.
  • First Aid Essentials: Assessment and treatment of burns, poisoning, and environmental emergencies.
  • Choking Relief: Managing airway obstructions for all age groups.
  •  Hemorrhage Control: Foundational bandaging and life-threatening bleeding management.
