Shotgun Sports
Winter Skeet League Begins February 1st !!
Please renew or apply for Membership to participate. League will run through March and will be 200 targets in total. Participants can shoot Thursday or Sunday afternoon. If you miss a round, there is plenty of opportunity to get your targets in! The league cost only $30.00 to shoot all 200! We will be serving dinner at 6:00 p.m. if there are enough people to eat and a few to help out – nothing major and certainly nothing you will regret in the morning! If you have questions, interested in lessons, or wondering about group rates please contact: Doug Kline @ 989-673-7938 or [email protected] The 6-stand course now has 25 different machines throwing assorted presentations of clay targets; i.e., rabbits, crossing ducks, springing teal, short and long crossing targets, pheasants, and quail covey’s. The sporting course is open shortly after Easter each year until the first weekend of duck season or by appointment. Keep in mind… this is a great bachelor party or company outing event as the Club does allow for scheduling private parties 7 days a week. |

A brief history...
"Sporting Clays is the closest thing to actual field shooting of all shotgun sports. The sport dates back to England in the early 1900s when trap shooting used live pigeons. With the introduction of clay targets, the sport began to take on the popular form known today. But rather than using standardized distances, target angles and target sizes, sporting clays courses are designed to simulate the hunting of ducks, pheasants and even rabbits. Six different sizes of clay targets give the participant the experience of actual hunting conditions, so you can see why the sport is so popular with hunters" (NSCA, 2017).
