The fifth annual wild game/steak dinner fundraiser was held at the club on Thursday, April 12, 2018. The main objective of this fundraiser for the last five years, was to help pay for the new 300 yard rifle range and shooting structure. The new range opened for use in the fall of 2017, but will be undergoing further upgrades for several years to come. As the lion’s share of the construction is now completed, we will no longer be holding the wild game/steak dinner event in the future. We do however, have several other fundraiser functions in the planning, so keep watch for those!
The results of this year’s dinner and door prize giveaways
were as follows:
Randy Dunham, Kevin Hollosy, Pat Michael, Roger Edwards, Joe Mallard, Dale Hanlin, Bob LaFave, and Kent Schriber, all won $500 gift certificate door prizes. Andrea Hardaker won the $380 consolation door prize and Betty Johnson won the Chuck Smith Fishing Charter door prize. Shane LeVan took home the Marlin .17 HMR rile by winning the “sponsors only” drawing. Oren Johnson was our 50/50 winner with Corey Stratton winning the Northwood’s Outlet Kayak. Kim Chapel, Jeff Whitney, and Dean Burkel, each won a gun provided by sponsors. Mike Green was the lucky winner of our newly added drawing…simply enter your unused 2017 deer tags and win a package containing a large pack of targets, a range pass to the indoor firing range at Sheridan Arms as well as $20 towards reimbursing your costs for the license! While Gary Ganley provided us with the most unused licenses, Mike Green actually won the drawing! Mike took some ribbing over the honor, considering he did grow up -and manages- Green’s Deer Ranch!
After the big drawings, each and every ticket holder that stayed to the drawing’s end took home some type of gift donated by our sponsors. We are grateful beyond measure for each and every individual and business that has sponsored our efforts at this fundraiser for the last five years. We sincerely hope that you can look with pride at what your donations have accomplished at our Club!
